This is the beginning of a project, which I will grow and learn over the course of. I will be going to Xizhou for 28 days with fellow peers who are interested in learning about other cultures and ways of life. In the village, I will be investigating love and marriage. To narrow down the amount of topics I could choose, I considered which topics I thought I would be able to connect with people through.

In Phase 0, I went through a process of elimination to decide which topic I would be investigating in Xizhou. Eventually, I chose love and marriage as my inquiry project topic. Through talking to the younger generations of people who are dating, engaged, or married, I will learn about the current ideology surrounding love and marriage and how it differs now from when their parents were their age.

In Phase 0, I narrowed down the large list of topics I could choose from to find my final inquiry project topic; love and marriage. Then, in Phase 1, I organized the knowledge I currently possess about this topic and what information I will need to gather for this project. In Phase 3, I will be researching love and marriage before and during the trip.
