In April, I will be exploring Xizhou for 28 days with 15 of my peers. During those days, we will research and learn about a specific topic, involving local life and culture, as our Inquiry Project. Choosing a topic was a surprisingly difficult task, because there were so many choices to read about. However, thanks to the feedback of my peers and Mr. T, I was able to choose a topic that I thought would enhance my learning experience.

Previously in Phase 0, I went through the process of choosing a topic that I will explore during my 28 days in Xizhou. Eventually, the topic I chose was Local Foods and Cuisine. Now, in Phase 1, I will be building my background knowledge on this topic and posing some "Big Questions" to answer in Xizhou.

Now, I am beginning on Phase 4, where I will look at my most important findings and plan out how to present them. In Phase 3, I listed all my research and findings during my time here.

To begin Phase 4, I looked at some of the Alumni's Final Projects to help me get a sense of my own. The projects I looked at were Sabrina C.'s (Alumni A), Cassandra M.'s (Alumni B), and Vincent C.'s (Alumni C).

About This Learner

Hey! My name Maggie and I am part of Group H, Hailstorm. Microcampus is an experience I will keep with me throughout my life, and bear in mind when I make choices. My time I'm Microcampus seems almost surreal to me now. The chain of future Microcampus students help me remember how real my memories are. I hope future students had just as much fun as I did.
