In Phase 0, I started off with my decision process on why and how I debated among the choices until finally narrowing it down to architecture, traditional Chinese medicine, and tourism / development, I then made my final decision to study Xizhou architecture during my stay. In Phase 1, I would be introducing my knowledge on this topic and choose ten big questions to represent on what I want to know about architecture at Xizhou.

Before in Phase 1, I have developed 10 big questions that I have produced after my background research in Phase 3. In Phase 2, I would now have to find some helpful resources that could help me answer my questions from Phase 1 or come up with new ones to investigate.

In Phase 2, I have been finding resources to possibly help me with my project on Bai minority architecture. I have also been hoping that the particular person or resource could help me answer my ten big questions. After having many interviews to build more background information on my topic, I am going to have to record it all down in Phase 3 where everything is cited with my new findings on Bai minority architecture.

About This Learner

My name is Sarah Y. I am 13 years old and is now currently in 8th grade. I have been in SAS for three years. I am born in Canada, Vancouver and stayed there for 6 years until I moved to Xian for 4 years. Xizhou was really awesome and epic and is probably one of the best experiences that I have ever experienced! The food, people, environment were amazing and making connections with some of the local people made my communication skills so much more better. The memories from here would definitely stay with me forever. :)
