In the forthcoming semester of school, I will be spending 28 days in a village where I will investigate in a topic that I am most interested in. Mr. T gave us a long list of topics that we could choose from. In the following paragraphs, I will explain my steps to choosing what I chose and why I chose that topic.

In Phase 0, I have chosen the topic that I will be researching—plant/insect life using photography. In Phase 1, I will be writing about what I know, where I learned what I know, and what I want to know about my project.

In Phase 1, I have posed ten big questions about my Inquiry Project on local plant/insect life. I have given possible answers to those ten questions. In Phase 2, I will be looking for helpful resources for my topic online and in Xizhou.

In Phase 1, I have written about what I know, where I learned what I know, and what I want to know about my project. In Phase 3, I will include the facts that I learned about my topic as a part of my research, both before and during the trip. These facts will come from many different sources.

In Phase 3, I have gathered all the information I can about my inquiry project. In Phase 4, I will be developing my plan for reporting my findings and sharing the most important things I have learned during my journey.

My name is Maggie and I am 13 years old this year. I was born in Shanghai and have lived there for 13 years. 8th grade is my ninth year at Shanghai American School. Xizhou is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and Microcampus is a life-changing experience that I will never forget.
