I've decided to go with the daily life of the children of Xizhou. I think this is a stronger topic for me, but I still might include some of my previous topic, education. Some things I'll want to figure out are: what are their daily chores? what's their relationships with their peers and parents? what are considered "risky" behaviors to kids? what kind of a future do they want for themselves? I imagine myself comparing my peers daily life and my own daily life with theirs.

Before I start asking questions I will write down what I think I know about the Daily Life of kids/teens in XiZhou. Prior knowledge is important because it helps you appreciate what you learn in a different perspective.

In order to gain an understanding of the relationships of a teenage girl in XiZhou, one must consider their parents, their friends, their siblings and their teachers. My audience for this project is future microcampus students, teachers, students, my relatives and anyone else with a computure. I think the best tools for my presentation is words and iMovie. I think that I will present my information through three diary entries by me as three different girls in XiZhou.

About This Learner

My name's Aneka and I'm 14 years old. I was born in Mumbai, India and have lived in Mexico, Shanghai and now North Carolina. I was at SAS for eight years before moving to the U.S at the end of my eighth grade year. I love XiZhou and miss it so much! I hope I can go back there again some day and visit all my favorite places and eat all my favorite foods(Yum!) I am so grateful for this wonderful experience and I hope that everyone who goes gets as much if not more out of it then I did.
