Yesterday night was the second, and last trip to Dali Old Town. My friends and I decided that we should try the bad Monkey's burgers, so we set off on an adventure to find the burger place. We could not find the place, but we did find a nice hot pot place, so we stopped there and had hot pot. The hot pot was good, but my friends were still hungry for food, so we went off to find a sweets shop. Instead of finding a sweets shop we found McDonalds, so I helped them order some ice cream, we sat down, and talked.

Before I came on to this trip my reason to come on the trip was to find my self, it was to learn how to be independent and see the world out side of the 'bubble". I wanted to come to Microcampus at the start because my brother did it, my friends did it, and many people talk about it. My motivation of joining Microcampus was partly  because of my brother.

Today I showed Mr. T my final video for my inquiry work. It was a nerve racking moment, thinking that if I have done it right this time. I failed to meet Mr.T's standers for the past two times that I showed him, so I was hoping that this time it would be different. I have done what he asked me to do last time, and so crossed my fingers and handed my computer to him. To my surprise he said that it was solid and good, just a few little tweaks and I would be on my way.

Today for still time I went to the tea house and I found black tea, so I invited my friends to have tea with me for still time. The tea was great. Someone came up with the idea of making milk tea, and since I was the only Chinese speaker I went to the front desk and asked for a cup. We made milk tea with black tea, milk, sugar, and boiling water. I had a great time, and had a lot of tea too.

Today I was out for lunch, and everyone left me with Jack when I was late, so the two of us walk down the road. We were planning on going to get some street burritos, but the lady was not there, so we walked back and ate at the same place that I was yesterday night. I had the same meal, and it was as good as I remembered.

Today was the best day since I was able to make another carving and find a service learning partner. After lunch today I went to Mr. BoBo to ask a few more questions about what makes a good carving. We sat down in the courtyard where he does his carvings and I spotted a half done carving. I used the carving and I made a tea spoon. However, I failed to smooth it since there was a bump in the middle of it. I learned more about how wood carving can make you happy too. Wood carving is some thing that allows you to just sit there and think. I got back to the Linden center, with an smile.

Today I went out with Anna and Cameron again to find a different person, because Mr. Dong has already been interviewed and so we are not allowed to interview him. lucky for us Anna has already went outside to find a possible service learning partner. We went outside around 4 pm, just to find that the possible service learning partner has already left, and closed her shop. When we were walking back with a sour face we found a nice old lady at the corner of the street making baby shoes.

This morning Mr. T woke everyone up for the sunrise. The sunrise was stunning! I sat on a stone and watched it for around 20 minutes. After that, I looked around one more time at the place. Just before we had breakfast, a flock of sheep came forward and I took around 50 photos, but as I did so the sheep got scared and ran towards the people who were quiet and so they got angry at us. I had corn for breakfast which was great and after that I walked to the river and sat there alone looking at the place.

Last night I looked up and I could see out destination for tomorrow. It was another mountain, with an altitude of 3232 meters. I asked Mr. T how long the hike would take and he said that it could range from four to 14 hours. I went to sleep thinking how could anyone hike that much in four hours. Ht morning came and I and a great sleep. I went for breakfast, but I was not hungry, so I just ate half of a bowl of noodles. We left for the four to 14 hours hike at 10:30 am, and I was in the front pack which set the pace.

Today I went outside for lunch. I ordered the Mr.T Fried Rice, and I accidentally ordered spicy. I choked down a quarter of the amount but it was too spicy, so I bought a drink that could cool me down. After the the fried rice I got a pop-stickle to cool myself down even more. It was very foolish of me to order such a spicy dish. My other wellness issue was the heart rate monitors. My monitor was not working and so I got zero TZ even though I worked hard.

Today is a camping trip at the tongue of the lake. We biked to the lake with out hiking bag on our back. We brought a set of cloths, dinner, tents, pillows, and sleeping bags. It was very difficult to set up the tents because the stakes won't go into the ground since there are a lot of rocks. I unpacked my things and set it up. We had noodles, chicken, carrot, and cucumber for dinner. After dinner everyone went to sleep at 7:45.

Today it was my turn to eat lunch in the village. The food in the village never fail to impress me. I had four dishes today, but all at small amounts. I had wonton, cheese, rice, and tea. It was my first time having wonton in the village, and it was fantastic. I had vineger, soy sause, garlic, and chilli in my soup. After my wonton I had cheese, the cheese was cooked above the fire, with honey dripping through the middle, even with my stuffed nose I could smell the cheese.

Hi everyone, my name is William. B, and I am 13 years old now. I was born in Taiwan and lived there for 9-10 years, but I am half British too. I am a student from SAS PD, and am in the Group Limitless. I was in XiZhou, and am in love with this amazing place. Xizhou has great food, although sometimes it is quite oily. My inquiry project is wood carving, and I only have one expert to look guidance to. I will cherish the days I have had XiZhou in my memory.
