Microcampus is roughly one month away. Within the space of those 28 days, we will be researching specific topics concerning the village and its surroundings. In order to prepare for our Inquiry Projects, we were asked to select several topics (1-3) and write about why we selected them, what questions we might ask about them, etc. The long list of topics given to us contained many different potential topics, several of which I was interested in.

In Phase 0, I decided on my Inquiry Project, the Local Landforms/Geology in or near XiZhou, and what I wanted to explore in that topic. In Phase 1, I will be focusing on posing good questions.

After Phase 1, in which I posed questions in order to guide my investigation into the local landforms and geology at XiZhou, I have moved onto Phase 2. The purpose of Phase 2 will be to find helpful resources in order to help my Inquiry Project research.

After my Phase Three, where I gathered information from local sources, I have moved on to Phase Four, where all the information that I gathered will be organized into a format that I can present, incorporating experiences, connections, feelings, and information.

Hello, my name is Sean, and I am currently attending eighth grade at SAS Pudong. I am 13 years old, having lived in Shanghai for only one year so far, after living in Illinois for ten. In terms of Chinese, I can hold my own in a conversation, but otherwise can't do much else. I have one sibling, a sister in fourth grade. My passions include reading, playing sports, science, playing the trumpet, and being outdoors.
