Along with the rest of the J group, I traveled to and spent 28 days in a village named Xizhou in Yunnan province. During our time there, we studied topics of high personal interest. We were given a document containing a very large list of choices in many different categories. Based on our own interest and the feedback we received from Mr. T., we determined the topics we were going to study for our inquiry projects.

In Phase 1, I reflected on what I knew, how I knew that, and what I want to know, and also posed and came up with possible solutions for my 10 big questions. This is Phase 2, where I will be finding helpful resources relating to my inquiry project.

About This Learner

Hi everyone! My name is Cynthia. I am a student at SAS Pudong. I was born in the US, but moved to Hong Kong at age 4. In 2008 I moved to Shanghai, and have lived here ever since. I have a little brother who is two years younger than me. I take Spanish at school, but I am a pretty good Chinese speaker. Some of my hobbies include reading fictional books (especially supernatural and fantasy) and the digital arts-such as photography and digital painting. I went to Microcampus from November to December of 2014 as part of the Jailbreak group. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much- I miss Xizhou.
