In Phase 0 I wrote about the process I used to choose my topic. Now in Phase 1 I will be creating deeper questions to ask about my topic, Antiques/Collectables. I have always been a fan of history and I still am. My project gives me an opportunity to learn about Chinese history and Chinese culture, it will also allow me to see ancient Chinese history and interact with items from ancient China.

In Phase 0 I wrote about the topic I have chosen, and the process that I used to pick my topic. In Phase 1 I made and posted some big questions that I have thought about for this topic. Now in Phase 3 I will be doing some background research on my topic, acquiring some information from local contacts, having my questions from Phase 1 answered, and getting information from my 3-to-5’s.

During my Phase 3 I had done a lot of research on my topic. I had conducted interviews, gathered information, and learned a lot more about my topic than I had already thought that I knew. Know that I am ready for my Phase 4 I will be brainstorming different ways to proceed with my final project. During this time I will look at other projects and come up with a main outline on how to execute my project.

About This Learner

My name is Aniketh. I am a 12-year-old eight grade student from SASPD, and this is my second year living in Shanghai. I have one little brother named Abhinav who is currently going to 3rd grade. My first year of living in Shanghai has been very exciting, because I have been given many more opportunities to learn and improve my skills as a student and as a person. I have already learnt more about the Chinese culture and heritage. A little bit about myself, I am very interested in sports and in education. I play soccer, football, and street hockey. When it comes to education I am very interested in politics and what goes on around the world, therefore I am currently apart of MUN. I am also interested in Music, I play the violin in the Intermezzo orchestra. I am very happy to have gone to XiZhou and experience the Microcampus program. I hope that future Microcampus groups will enjoy this village just as much as we all did.
