Microcampus is an opportunity for students to enjoy a learning experience outside of school. During this time students are given a task, our special task... The Inquiry Project! The Inquiry Project is a method of organizing and showcasing our thoughts from the trip. The project requires students to venture to Xizhou and, as the name suggests, Inquire on a topic of our choice. We do this with different types of research hands-on, web based, interviews, and many others. But, our journey must begin with a single step.

After deciding on the final topic (which in my case is farming) in Phase 0, I then transitioned into the current phase in which I will begin posing questions. Within this phase I would like to be able to further narrow down my topic into specific questions that I will choose to narrow down into researchable questions.

In Phase 1 I was able to come up with a list of questions that would help to boost my research once I arrive at Xizhou, and allow my research to be conducted in an organized and precise way. This phase was a key step towards my final product because it will allow me to know what specific questions I would like to be answered. In this phase I plan to find more helpful resources to spur on my research.

This face was contributive to both Phase 1 and 2. In Phase 1 it allowed me to store all of the research I got to allow me to form questions. In Phase 2 it helped me store the information I got from my 3-5's and the local contacts.

About This Learner

I'm currently 13 years old and have lived in Shanghai for nearly all of my life. Though I was born in the Philippines my family moved to China even before my birth. Microcampus was a great experience where I got to meet new people and learn more about old friends. During this trip I not only fulfilled Inquiry requirements, but I was also able to learn more about myself, others, and China as a whole. Many people have tons of regrets in the course of their life but despite this Microcampus has not yet been a part of any of these lists.
