It has officially been one week since we have been in XiZhou. We had our morning pitching in and Annie and I did our laundry. We also did our wellness reflection and posted it as a comment underneath our Wellness plan. In the wellness reflection it asked questions such as how we were feeling and next steps we were going to take. After that we did not have much planned for the day so we basically got free time. For lunch today we got fried banana in our menu.

History always fascinates me where we record pieces of the past and teach it to the future. Today we have 150 mins of 150 years of China's history. The purpose of this lesson is to teach the accurate events that happened here in China, so we could complete our service learning project. It makes me really happy that i learned these accurate events because in the world right now many information we gather are false. For example, websites that would not tell the truth because they are would want to hide it from everyone or they do not even know the infromation at all.

Today was the first day of a weekend. We started our day off with a talk on 150 years on Chinas history in 150 minutes. It was really interesting to hear about china's history. After lunch, we had to go out for about an hour to have conversations with people. That was really interesting to just connect with people for our service learning project. Today was very chill and laid back with a lot of downtimes. Today's evening activity is skyping back home with friends and cant wait to talk to them.

Today was the first weekend we spent in Microcampus. We got the chance to sleep in until nine thirty which was when breakfast ended. We had the 150 years in 150 minutes lecture where we learned about the history of China from the 1830 up to 1949. We also got an intro to our service learning project. Today was a really chill day and we got a lot of freedom. Today not much happened. We went out during our down time to talk to some locals and to get to know them some more. We played hacky sack for a while, and then stopped for a while because we got tired.

Today was the first normal weekend here. We had our 150 years in 150 minutes talk today. I learned a lot more about Chinese history. I learned how China was before today. We talked about the Hundred Flower Movement that I have never heard of until today. It was quite interesting and I think it has got me ready for Service Learning.

Today marks our first weekend here in Xizhou. Mr. Tafel gave us a very amusing lecture of recent Chinese history, 150 years and 150 minutes. This is to put the information our service learning project partner gives us into context. For service learning time today, I talked to Mr. Wang in the antique shop. He was very willing to talk to us and looks forward to working with us further. I think that it is pretty cool to make connections with locals. It's all great fun and a unique opportunity as well.

Wind turbines, Wow. Today we took a trip to the wind turbine farm. At around 3:00 we were able to choose either to go to a tie die factory or to the wind farm. If you get the chance you need to go to a wind farm and stand in front of the Turbine. the amount of wind and how strong it is is tremendous. Before the field trip we didnt have WIPPIS time. We only had inqury project time until 3:00. Today was a great first week and i cant wait to see what the weekend can offer!

Today we only had two hours of inquiry project time. Instead of having a normal WIPPIS time where we did wellness, pitching in, inquiry project, and still time, we only had our inquiry project time. When we woke up today, we played hacky sack again. I still am missing most of the kicks and not receiving them, thankfully I am slowly but surely improving. After we had our inquiry time we got to go to the wind farm. Four of us headed to the wind farm to see the wind turbines, and two of us went to ZhouCheng to learn about the history of tie dye and some of the processes.

On day 7 of Microcampus, one of the most interesting things we did was visit the wind farms and see a windmill up close. For the half-day field trip, a small number of the group paid a visit to the tie-dye and embroidery factory, while the rest went to the wind farm in the mountains. Mr.

My highlight of the day was when Mr. Tafel bought us pineapples and they was the best pineapple I ever ate in my life. Pineapple for me used to be a fruit I occasionally eat because of the bitter taste. However, this pineapple had a taste of sweet flavor twirling in my mouth. We got this pineapple just outside of our living area "Bao Cheng Fu" and there are living wonders just anywhere in Xizhou. The reason it has a bitter taste is because they wash it with salty water.

On day 6, we began our second day of digging deeper about our inquiry projects. It's been a productive afternoon, despite the not-so-good morning in which we had to be reminded to stay together. I met up with two new contacts—Mr. Yang and Mr. Dang.

Expectations in Microcampus are much more higher compare to Shanghai where we could choose to not follow directions and still be forgiven. In Microcampus, we have to work together as a family and remind each other follow these instructions, so we could still meet the expectation. However Microcampus is more than following these directions, but making them a habit in Microcampus or life, and these would really improve ourselves.

Today we were late for breakfast. So far each pair of roommate has been late. Our alarm went off, but we turned it off and dozed back to sleep. I fell asleep for around ten minutes then had an aggressive realization that we had over slept. Taking out my night lenses resulted in a later time of getting out. During the day, we were called to a meeting, where Mr. T told us about, our work. And about how things start to pile up, and how he is just trying to help us continue on. When he tells us things, he tells them to us because he has experience in these kind of situations.

I really thought the wheels of my project were falling off yesterday. Today I will meet with Mr. Linden for the first time and I will be looking forward to knowing some more contacts as well as acquiring more information on my topic. The Lindens are very nice people and I look forward to developing meaningful ties with them. Next Inquiry Project session, I look to connect with Mr. Zhao, who lives on a former Flying Tigers site.

Day 6 of Microcampus and where do I even start. Our Superior group has been troubled lately, Ecpesccaily when it comes to following instructions. We are getting constantly reminded on what to do and to follow instructions. Today was definitely a wake-up call for our entire group. In the future, we will be sure to think before we do something, Follow directions better and listen to instructions. Today was a good day because today was a day of growth, We learned our lesson and hopefully, in the future, we can apply this to our daily life.

Today is the 5th day at Microcampus and the first day with local contacts. it was also the first time we woke up late. We woke up about an hour after breakfast started. It was quite terrifying to see how late we woke up. Since starting our day was quite difficult without any breakfast, we were tired and hungry up until lunch. After lunch, however, we started the day oof well with a fun game of badminton, then I  did some jump roping. Wellness was fun but the inquiry project was amazing. Mr. Tafel and I one out to Interview Mr. Yang. An antique dealer at the corner of SiFang Jie.
