Today, we had to finish Phase 4, it was not very stressful for me but for some of the members in our group, it was very stressful. We helped each other and encouraged each other to finish our work. We are all working together well and getting stuff done on time.

For wellness, Annie and I played Frisbee and it was the highlight of my day. I loved catching the frisbee with one hand and once I had this weird position where I caught it with two fingers. Annie taught me how to pass very fluent (no wabbly) to each other and after playing for ten minutes we improved so much. We then tried playing volleyball and my whole enitre arm was hurting. Annie on the other hand, was very skilled at volleyball and she could bounce the ball around 15 times in a roll. She was amazing at volleyball.

During Pitching in time, we went to a traditional Bai minority wedding. It was day 5 when Mrs. Yang, our gardener, Invited our group to her daughter's wedding. We accepted the lovely invitation, At around 11:00 we headed over to the venue, however, the venue was over and it was lunchtime. We had a delicious meal and afterward we went over to Mrs. Yang's house to relax. It was nice to see her beautiful flowers in her garden. We left Mrs. Yang's house to make our way back to Baocheng Fu. Today was also the last day of teacher support along with phase 3 due.

Today we got to attend Ms. Yang's (our gardener) sons wedding. It is very different from normal weddings in Shanghai. We do not have weddings that lasts 2 days. We did not get to see much of the ceremony because the time was not right. We joined the wedding for lunch and went to Ms. Yang's house for a while. She invited us to come back at 5 but we had to do our inquiry project, wellness, pitching in, and still time. It was still quite interesting to see how weddings work here.

Today we will end the field research and all Phase 3 work. I look to finish my final follow-up conversation and add some pictures of my chat with my contacts. I am just putting finishing touches on Phase 3 and I wish to start Phase 4 as soon as possible. I feel that I have a strong project so far and I will continue to build on that. We have a trip to Dali Old Town coming up, and I think I would be ready because I will be finished with all my work, hopefully more than that.

It is day 17 at Micro campus and it is our second to last day here to work on our Phase 3 and tomorrow will be the last day we will be able to go out and talk to the locals. In 2 days we are supposed to finish 2 phases and that definitely makes me nervous. However today was a great day, I had to share ant inquiry slot with Laura because the other teacher wasn't available. Laura needed to talk with the local farmers here and it was really fun to talk to the local farmers. In fact, they even taught us how to pull out the garlic stems with the tool.

Today was another regular WIPPIS schedule day. I was partners with Nolan again. Today we had to share an inquiry project session because Angela used up two sessions to go to a tea plantation. So Nolan got the chance to come out into the fields to talk to some farmers with me. We met a nice lady called Ms. Yan and she said that we could try. Ms. Mai, Nolan, and I all tried. at first it was a bit of a struggle and we could never get the garlic out in one whole. But after a few attempts I got the hang of it and got some garlic.

Today was another relaxing weekend schedule. In the morning we did our wellness reflection. At around one o'clock Gabby had another art session, this time revolved around acrylic painting. After talking to us about color and temperature, she let us decide whether we want to create something or we could continue on with our days. I was the only one that decided to stay and paint something. Angela stayed and watched me paint. I drew a girl holding a bag and many other things randomly on the page. It was another relaxing day to recover.

So today I have Inquiry Project Time coming up and my goal is to talk to some shop owners, and if possible, do a follow-up conversation with Mr. Su, an antique shop owner, to add to my Phase 3 information section about him. I plan to add some information based on my Hangers and Hooks talk with Mr. Tafel. Overall, I feel great about where my project is right now and I will definitely be ready when we wrap up the final bits and pieces of field research tomorrow.

On day 17 of Microcampus, we have our usual morning meeting and SAS Essentials sessions and execute the daily WIPPIS schedule in the afternoon. On the afternoon, though, I had wellness with Annie; on the way, we passed the Linden Centre to return a book that I had borrowed from the library on the Tea Horse Trail. During which we got distracted by a Chinese watercolor painter that was painting the white, sun-blocking wall in the centre's courtyard.

It is the start of a new week in Microcampus and we are going to watch Forrest Gump for today's evening activity. I am very excited for today's evening activity because I never watched it and I heard that it is very funny and sad. This week I would need to be very productive because we have to finish Phase 3 by tuesday and Phase 4 by wendsday, so we can go to Dali Old Town.

After a stressful but profilic week and a night of paranoia, we arrived back in Baochengfu at nine in the morning. Until noon, we unpacked our tents in the courtyard for the morning moisture to dry off and raced to our rooms for a well-deserved shower.

So we are entering week 3, time flies. And I have never been feeling stronger about my Inquiry Project. Today I had my walk and talk with Mr. T in order to make sure I am in the directions and get some pointers about finishing up my field research which is going great for me so far. I will not be talking to teachers but I will be talking to more shop owners about the Flying Tigers. I made this decision because Mr. T pointed out that teachers often say what they are supposed to say but not what they want to say. It kept my project on track essentially.

Today, Our house Gabby so generously asked us if we wanted an art lesson on paint. It was very fun being taught the different shadings and really just how many colors you can blend. We then were able to paint what we wanted and that was fun too. Sadly afterward I came down with a stomach ache and had to go to my own room in order not to infect anyone. The room is really nice and I'm glad I have it to myself but I missed out on evening activity and dinner. Hopefully, i am feeling better because I don't want to waste any more precious time here at Microcmapus

During lunch, Annie and I went to a pearl store and I decided to pick a shell out of a random bucket. The quality and quantity of the shell depends on your luck. I choose a shell which include 28 pearls with mostly pink medium size pearls.  The shop owners said that they raised the shell by themselves and there is powder when they drill the hole into the pearls. So the pearl cannot be made out of plastic, but the pearls intotal only cost 70 RMB, so I am debating the fact if it is a fake or real.

Day 15 of Microcampus was a Sunday dedicated to winding down and reflecting on the week's accomplishments. During today, nothing much happened except for a brief but interesting art introductory class on acrylic paint hosted by Gabbie and a clarifying walk-and-talk with Mr. Tafel on the hangers and hooks of my inquiry project.

Since it was the weekend, we didn't do much. Gabbie offered to teach us some things about painting and acrylic paint. It was very chill and interesting to see how colors work together. It was also nice for Gabbie to show us some of her artwork she did. They are very colorul but so realistic. There is more color than it will have in real life but as Gabbie said, if you get the lighting correct, it will feel like it is real. I saw how colors can show up differently to the human eye on different background color paper.
