Day 25 of Microcampus is yet another day crossed out from the countdown to departure, and as the days progress, the departure date draws nearer and nearer. We were to finish our Service Learning videos today (which can also be accessed in full quality in the Microcampus hard drive) in preparation for the showcase tomorrow taking place at 3 in the afternoon. This evening, we had our rerun of Mr.

I have finished my final touches on my Final Product and sometime today I would post it and complete my inquiry project journey. Even though the inquiry project journey have sadly ended, but the learning and the topic stills goes on, I will still ask other people and learn about this topic because this topic needs to have more research especially asking the wealthy people living in this world about their ideas and perspectives.

Today we put the finishing touches on our Service Learning Project. I am very thankful for Yang nai nai and our the village our Xizhou for presenting us with a life changing 28 days. In all honesty, this is one of the best months mo my life. I would like to say thank you to all who made this experience possible!

For the first time in Microcamous history, There is going to be not one, but two Mr. T's all-star whizbang superduper trivia night. Last time we had a trivia night, the teams were Barton, Angela and me against  Laura, Annie, and Nicole. Safe to say we won by over 100 points. This time's trivia night will be Barton and me against all the girls including Bryce. I am extremely excited for tonight's trivia night and hopefully, we win. Earlier today we also completed our service learning projects and handed them into Mr. T for review.

We have 4 days left at microcmapus and things are winding down. we have all officially completed our Inquiry project and handed the polished version in. Today is our last day to work on service learning and it was a heavy work day. Today was our only day to edit our service learning project to produce our final product. Our service learning partner is Yang Nai Nai, A lovely lady that sells small handmade shoes on the side of the road. We talked to her about her childhood and how certain events such as the cultural revolution affected it.

Today I worked on my Service Learning project and I worked on the subtitles portion. It took a long time but it was very satisfying once I was done. Sometimes it was hard to understand what Yang Nainai said but I gave my 110% and some I had to put [inaudible]. Overall, it was good work. I have high hopes about our Service Learning video and a great showcase.

Today officially marks the start of the end of the trip. The past three weeks have been so memorable and precious. The phrase "the days go by quickly" has been seen time and time again, but only at the end of the trip do I realize how quickly the days go by. The first week did not feel as if the days would pass by quickly, but as the end of the trip whizzed to four days away, the revelation hit. It is no longer about getting through the day, it has become about cherishing the last few moments that we get to spend here.

The "phase 5" that I speak of, in reality is the Final Product. Today our final products were due at ten in the morning. Many woke up early to finish breakfast and get a head start on the completion of their final products. As for me, I woke up at my usual time oblivious to fact that I would not be able to finish in time. I want to say it was a hectic morning, but it actuality it really was not. With everyone focused in and keen on finishing their final product, there was no time to waste panicking.

Today we worked on our service learning project as our priority. We handed in our storyboards at around 9 am. Mr. T was very helpful in giving us tips about our service learning video. During the daily meeting, Mr. T said that our service learning partners have to come. I got quite scared because I did not know if Mr. Zhang would be able to come or not. I knew he had a family business and so I thought he would not be able to join us on Wednesday. At lunch, I went to ask Ms. Zhang, his daughter and she said she will tell him to come which was a relief. The days have been quite busy.

Today for a break from our projects, we played with Sofie. Sofie is absolutlety adorable and she smiles all the time. She is always so energetic and she would say "ball" when she sees the hacky sack. Hacky sack's shape is like a ball but it is made out of beans and it is really soft. We played throw and catch with her and Angela would hug her everywhere. She is so fun to play with and I enjoyed the time with her.

Today was a big day for inquiry work. At 10 am we needed to hand in our inquiry projects to me. T for pearls of wisdom. I was able to get great feedback from the chat and great insight on where my Project is going. The rest of the day I edited my project according to what Mr. T wants and I think it is a much better final product. Today we also worked on service learning because in 2 days our service learning project is due. Our service learning partner is so kind and hopefully will be able to make the viewing on Wednesday.

Today I finished my drafts of the final product video and it is very different from other people because I used all kinds of media. I had pearls of wisdom from Mr. Tafel and he told me to never say my product is not so good because it destroys the video itself even before the video starts. This video is mostly about the changes of my thoughts of wealth and status through out communicating with the villagers. I really grew as a person throughtout these moments and it is very personal.

Water is something that we all need and the lack of water could cause many disastorus effects that we do not want to have. I experienced some of those effect and I felt so uncomfortable. I think I should change my habits because in Shanghai, I would not drink as much water and I will still be fine. But in here Xizhou, because of the level of humidity and altitude, I would feel those effect in a much worse level. After this experience, I would drink water as it benifits my health and how well I make descions.

We worked on our final product for our inquiry project. For my sharing my learning, I will be creating an iMovie. It was a very productive day and was able to get most of my work done. Many students will have their final product on the site by Monday. The remainder of the time will be focused on service learning. I am excited about service learning, being able to connect with the community really well. It is enjoyable to talk to the elders of the community. I am excited about the service learning project and hope that it succeeds

Microcampus has been such an eye opening experience for me. I have learnt so many new things that I would never be able to see and encouter. I thought that I would be able to understand everything there is to know about my topic and about the village, but I have realized that some things are not always meant to be understood fully. Sometimes, things are just meant to be looked at and appreciated.

Day 22 of Microcampus was, for the lack of a better word, a big day. It was essentially our last significant timeframe to work on what is left of our final product and reflection before establishing final touches on the next day. I have cleared out some video footage and some media for making my final product, which is a short movie following my journey through the 28-day duration of my trip in Xizhou in terms of my inquiry project.
