On Wednesday December 9, we invited Ms. Yang over to Yang Zhuo Ran to take a look at the film we created. First, we gave her a brief tour of the place we have been staying it for the past 26 days. Then, at three o'clock, we led her upstairs to watch the video. When we were airing the video we made of Ms. Yang's life story, I noticed that she was laughed when she saw her face appear on the screen. She seemed to be very focused on the film and would occasionally crack a smile. Personally, I felt quite proud that our group created a video that would showcase the hardships of Ms.

When I watched him view the video we made, I was very happy. He looked very shy at the start when he was playing erhu but then he was very happy. Afterwards, we met downstairs to take him back home. He said that our video was the best out of all the videos. I was very glad that he was able to come to see the video. He seemed very happy with our efforts to share his story. Once again I would like  to thank Mr. Yang for being very kind and good to our group. I really appreciate him helping us and being our service learning partner.

Today, 6 people, Mr. Tafel, and I went to visit Mr. Du's antique shop for a final time. We went to look at what he had, and possibly buy something that piqued our interest. Before we even entered the place, Mr. Tafel's word of advice was "buy something as if it was sitting in a brand new store instead of an antique shop". That way, if it was fake, we would still be happy. If it wasn't fake and actually 600 years old, all the better. We entered his home and Mr.

It was absolutely incredible to get to share our video with Mr. Yang. We as a group poured our hearts into the making of it, and we spent hours and hours making rough cuts and writing out subtitles.

First, I think that it was really great to see the effort we put in pay off. I felt that our video was quite different, and it was nice to get to share that with the community.

Today we had Mr. T's All star, Whiz Bang, Super Duper, Trivia night. My team was called The Magical Demon Exorcisers. I was holding a plunger, and my teammates were holding chopsticks with toilet paper around them. This was not just plain white, it was brown. I had put brown eyeshadow on it to make it look like poop. The only giveaway that it was not real poop was the reason that the eyshadow had sparkles mixed into it. We answered many questions until the final round spooked up on us. We had 62 points and gambled with 58. Then Mr.

Tonight, after two cancellations, we finally had Mr. T's All-Star Whiz-Bang Super Duper Trivia Night.

We were split up into teams by our Service Learning groups, and everyone had a team name and captain. Our captain was Yannick, and we were the Magical Demon Exorcisors. Sabrine and Sydney put together some poop flags (brown eyeshadow) and they took the plunger from the supply closet as well.

We watched Ace Ventura: Pet Detective during evening activity time today.

We've had other movie nights, but with this one, the committee brought in snacks, and many used the hot chocolate powder packets that they recieved in their St. Nick bag from yesterday morning. It also started on time!

Apparently, watching this movie is a Microcampus tradition, so it was really nice to get to be involved with that.

This morning, we all awoke to see our shoes placed in front of our doors and stuffed with plastic bags with a variety of treats in them. Among these were M&M's, Swiss Miss hot chocolate powder packets, a Kinder Bar, and many other foods that really won't keep for too long in my comfort food bag.

St. Nick's Day is a holiday in Germany, as it turns out. Kids leave their shoes out and St. Nick (Santa) will put treats in one's shoes if they've been good, and will put coal in one's show if they've been bad.

Monday morning at 10am, we are due for a check-in with Mr. T regarding our Inquiry Projects

He'll be giving us advice and suggestions as to where we can improve, where content might need to be changed, etc. I find it interesting how while he gives us these instructions, we are also not required to follow them, but just to at least take them into consideration.

Today was a big day. We shared our Service Learning videos to our Service Learning partners. But when we shared our service lerning project, unfrotunately, Ms. Yang, our partner, was not here. Joanne and Shannon went out beforehand to pick her up, but according to them, she said she will come at her own time.

First of all, we got two hacks while playing hacky sack today! A hack is when everyone in the entire circle touches the hacky sack at least once without letting it fall to the ground. There was around 6 people playing at that time.

Tonight, we finally had Mr.T's WizBang All Star Super Duper Trivia Night! Personally, I think my team, the Peppered-Speckled Moth Hippies were the most well dressed. From head to toe we wore - a hat, sunglasses, a scarf, our pajamas, long socks over our pants, and sneakers. We did pretty well with the dressing up, but we weren't necessarily the best when it came to the trivia part. In total, we had three rounds of trivia, with the third round being the finals.

I came to Microcampus for several reasons. The first reason is that I wanted to become more confident. Throughout the first couple of weeks, I had many opportunities to do this but I did not jump at the chance. By week three, our group was not doing very well. I realized that if me and several others did not step up, we would not have a good final two weeks. I decided that this was something that mattered to me so I stepped up. This was the first instance that I showed an extreme example of confidence during the trip.

Today is our last full day. As part of our work, we have to follow a checkout list. There is one list for the morning and another for the afternoon. The morning list includes checking for typos in my Inquiry Project, return all our books to the Yang Zhuo Ran guard, and finishing touchups on our Service Learning projects.

Unfortunately, Mrs Yang was not able to attend the Service Learning presentation. We walked over to where her stand is, offered fruit, she declined, offered to walk her over, she declined again, she gave us fish and butterfly embroidery keychains, and then she accepted a bag of Longan. However, it was nice to see how the other two guest's reactions. While watching other people's videos, I would look over to the person of whom the video was about. They would always smile, and maybe look slightly embarrassed.

Last night I had a weird dream, I saw some of my American friends and some of my Chinese friends all in America watching a soccer game. It was astrange dream with my friends from all over the world. Then I woke up and thought about my real dream. This dream is to stay here, but have my family here too. I would love to have Yang Zhuo Ran be my new home and eache room is for a different person in my family. My parents would have Mr.T and Ms. Mai's room. I would have room 3. My little brother would have room 9. My little sister would have room 4.

I was so relieved today because I finally finished my Inquiry Project. I was able to finish my entire final product as well as upload and embed my 10 minute video. In total I have without a doubt spent more than 50 hours on my inquiry project throughout the duration of Microcampus. Watching over my video now I am so proud of my work and I feel very accomplished for what I have achieved.
