Phase 4: Preparing to Share: Emerging Ideas

Updated 6 years 1 week ago

At first, I was not sure what my thesis was going to be. After talking with Mr. T, I came up with a thesis for my project. "In order for me to gain some insight about how I can learn from someone else's life to make my life more fulfilled, I must learn about someone else's accomplishments and regrets".

My project is focused on elders, but it is not meant to be viewed by elders. My project, is about taking information from older generations, and passing their wisdom onto younger generations. Therefore, my project is designed for anyone who needs advice in life.

Besides my main project, I will have to include other information, such as background information. This would include the names, and pictures of the people in interviewed. I will also put in their words of wisdom for the younger generations. The reason I need to include such information, is one, for background information so you know who I am talking about, and two, just for additional information that may be useful to someone.

For my presentation, I will PowerPoint to express my message. Using this tool, I will be able to show viewers what I have been doing for the past month. Using PowerPoint will make it easy for them to understand what I am trying to show them. It will be easier than a video, because of how little my project is based oncc learning how to do something, rather than learning why I should do something.

I talked to Mr. T about my project, and I am now prepared to move onto my final project.

Love your thesis! You will walk away with some great stories and thoughts that are larger than the particular place you are visiting. Wishing you all the best as you work to complete this!

Hi, my name is Christina Manning and I'm 15 years old. Born in Canada with a dual German citizenship, I have lived in countless countries throughout my school years, including Korea, Dubai, and Australia. I am currently in my sophomore year at Shanghai American School. Microcampus was an amazing experience - one I will never forget. It provided me with a new perspective on China, and it's people, which is something that I will always cherish.
