Phase 4: Preparing to Share: Emerging Ideas

Updated 5 years 1 month ago

Two imporant aspects of understanding the role of Bai Minority Music in the village are the impact of the movie, Five Golden Flowers, and the role that music plays in people's lives. This is the information I hope to share with my audience. I think that these points of focus are important because it explains the past and present of Bai Music. It shows how much music has developed and why it is important.

I realize that my project will be available for all to see. I plan to share my project with my family, friends, classmates, Microcampus alumni, and hopefully some future Microcampus students. It is important for me to share my project with people because I want them to see how much I have learned and how important music is to not my life, but others too.

When I mention how Bai Music has changed, I will talk about how much impact the movie, Five Golden Flowers, has had on not just music, but also the community. Tourism could also be a sub-topic, as it relates to the movie. The movie has had a huge impact on not just tourism, but dancing and music.  Bai Music in people's lives is also an important part of my project. I will describe how music has changed some specific people's lives and why it is important.

I believe that a Keynote or a Prezi will be best for my project. I would like to insert some videos of musicians playing. An iMovie could also be another possibility. Keynotes and Prezis are better for me because movies do not always express everything I want to say. A presentation will help me express everything I want to say.

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I am 14 years old. I was born in Bloomington, Indiana, and have lived in Connecticut and now, China. This will be my 3rd year at SAS. I am back in Shanghai and was very excited to be part of the September-October Microcampus trip! Xizhou is an incredible place with friendly locals and breath-taking scenery. I wish lots of fun to future groups and hope you enjoy this journey as much as I did.
