Looking Ahead to My Microcampus Experience

Ever since last year I always heard my friends talking about Microcampus. At that time, I was still pretty new to SAS compared to them, as most of them had been at SAS for quite a while, so I had no clue of what Microcampus was. When I found out, I immediately thought; this is definitely something I'd like to experience.

And now, about one year later, I'm part of the V group, and in about 5 months I'm going to be part of the Microcampus experience, something I've been eager to be part of since I was in 7th grade. I am really looking forward to the opportunity to experience life outside busy Shanghai. I'm excited to see the pristine village of Xizhou, and get the chance to learn about some topics that I haven't explored in school before. I look forward to having the chance to completely step out of my comfort zone, and experience new things that I thought I would never experience. I believe that after the trip, I will have a drastically different mindset, and my perspective towards everything would have changed as well. Looking back to it now, I feel like 7th grade passed like a rush of wind, as it seemed like it was only yesterday that my friend told me all about the wonders of Microcampus. I'm happy to be able to participate in such an experience, and I'm really looking foward to it.

I was born in Canada and my family is from China. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, playing with my dog, talking with my friends, and learning new things. I have been to two previous schools prior to coming to SAS in cold Canada and sunny California. The month that I spent at Microcampus has been really memorable and an experience that I will never forget in my life. I am yet to return to Xizhou to see the community, scenery, and taste the food again!
