Day 8: A Clogged Toilet and Camping on ErHai

This morning I woke up and went to the bathroom to relieve myself, and what I found was most outrageous. Our toilet was clogged and it was gross. T had to come and plunge it for us. He warned that if it ever happened again, we would have to fix it. The experience itself was gross and weird.

Later that day after service learning time, the six brave souls and Mr. T set out to go camping on ErHai. They were: Nike, Mark, Cass, Alex, YiFei, and myself. We first went to SiFangJie and brought our dinner, I got some fried rice for Nike and I to share and she brought some baba (delicious pizza thing). While they were waiting for the baba, they came across some Swedish(?) people. They talked and talked and was 5 minutes late to the bus. When they finally arrived, we got onto the bus and headed to ErHai. We collected some possible firewood along the way.

Once we arrived, we started setting up camp. The campgrounds there was pretty messy. There was garbage on the floors and bugs everywhere. There was also one area which was completely swampy, the first time I stepped onto it, I almost fell into the swampy marsh. Nike and I were sharing a tent so we started setting it up. We actually didn't do a bad job, being the second to have our tent up. :D I cannot say anything more because T didn't want us to spoil it for the others.

But overall, the camping trip was an adventure in itself, it definetly is a once in a life time experience I guess...
