Day 5: Tea Plantation and Dali OldTown

Today we hiked for 25 minutes up to a mountain with a little pool. Then we went to the tea plantation and made tea!! :D It was exciting; first we collected the tea leaves then we put it in a big pot and "fried" it so it became dry. After we mushed it into little balls, and finally we "refried" it to make it into that dry tea leaves we find in tea bags. After the visit to the tea plantation, we went to Dali OldTown and ate dinner and looked around. Dali OldTown was full of tourists, western restaurants, and clothing and bag stores. Cass, Nike, Alex, and I ate at a western restaurant, and Cass and I had a really nice long conversation about life. After dinner, we decided to head over to a dessert shop called The Sweet Tooth and we ate all sorts of dessert, such as heavenly chocolate cake, mint chocolate pie, peanut butter cream pie, ugly brownies, etc. The dessert was so delicious and expensive.. I enjoyed the experience very much and I hope to return there some time in the near future.
