Day 27: Fourteen

Today, I turned 14.

Last night, the entire group went on the Dali Old Town trip. I, being in the "still needs to work on stuff" group, went with Sydney, Yannick, Cole, and Josh (breaking the rule of 4!) to Cafe De Jack. We ordered four steak sandwiches and one lasagne; the food was pretty great.

Afterwards, everyone headed over to The Sweet Tooth, and we celebrated my birthday a day early, which was really nice.

As part of our last day here in Xizhou, Sydney and I will be getting haircuts later (stepping out of our comfort zones). Photos to come!

My name is Melanie C. and I am currently 14 years old. I've lived in Shanghai for almost 10 years now, and I lived in Taipei before that. I have been at SAS since the start of 4th grade, so this marks my fifth year here (I attended Dulwich before transferring). One of my favorites things to do is to travel and try new things, which is one of the main reasons I applied for the program. The Microcampus experience was absolutely incredible, and I have gained so much from having spent a month in Xizhou. I hope to return in the near future.
