Day 15: On top of the mountain

Today, we were all debating about if we should hike up to this mountain or go back down to Xizhou. Our final descision go up. It was a tiring hike. Basically, it was all uphill and the sun had come out today, which meant it was hot. Once we go to the top I felt so proud. You never forget the feeling you get when you work hard form hiking and then finally make it to the top. Some of us crazy kids wanted to go to the very tip top of the mountain. I climbed hand and feet while lying down to scared to look down. The wind was incredibly strong, so I was told to stay to the right of the mountain. If I were to be blown to hard I fall in to the mountain. I reached the top too tired to do anything. It was so unreal. It felt infinity. I don't think that is a feeling but that's what I felt. On one side you could see every mountain coming up out of the ground covered in lush forest. On the other side you could see a big crater looking thing. All of us sat their with thsi rush of adrenaline from being   on top of the world. The wind felt like it was going to blow us away.  Their are no words to describe it except infinity. Everything looked like it lasted forever and it would continue to last forever untouched. I climbed down to the bare land that I saw form up top. We named it the African moon because it looked like a moon and sort of smelled like hippos. I ran out right into the middle of it. I was surrounded by nothing. Just amazing! I miss the African moon! I hope wherever we were stays untouched like that forever.

Hard work =success = satisfaction !

Dear Alex,
Remember these days as you will have many more life.... The greatest part to achieving success is having the drive to move forward, to endure the hardship and to enjoy the satisfaction that you and only you have achieved because you gave it all you had and didn't give up. Well done my dear!

Sounds incredible! You must have been exhausted! Did you get any photos on your phone? Now I wish you got the camera! I want to see everywhere you have been. Who got to the top the fastest? Who was the most tired? Was Mr. T happy you guys went for it? That is so awesome!

Miss you,

You are a crazy kid and competitive to boot. I think that's cool and wonderful and one of the things that makes you Alex. I'm learning through this blog that there are many facets to you. It's kind of like the facets of a diamond. You shine in many different ways. Maybe you were feeling exhilarated as well as "infinity".
