Day 14: Day 1 of the Hike

"I FEEL ALIVE" quoted from Sujin Han. Yes indeed, I did FEEL alive but if feeling cold and extremely tired meant I felt alive, I'm not sure if I wan to feel it all the time.....I have to say we experienced all four seasons in a matter of 8 hours. Yes not even one day, EIGHT HOURS. We went through the heat, the windy, rain, lightening, thunder and HAIL. Hail as in giant ice cubes falling from the sky (okay I'm exaggerating now  it wasn't giant ice cubes falling from the sky but small pieces of ice). All my clothes got wet and it was very cold. For once I really thanked my mom for telling me to bring that extra jacket since my other ones were all wet from the rain/small hail. As a precaution we had to get "low" so we could avoid the lightening just in case.  Oh yeah, our hike was actually approximated to be a six hour hike but ended up being eight hours and a half due to the weather changes and all the rests we took. One discovery we made was how the yaks in the distance looked exactly like yak "excretion" which was right by our feet. Well I just hope tomorrow is a better day.

Hey I'm Clara. I'm an 8th Grader in Shanghai American School Puxi. I am Korean though I've lived in Korea for four years, the US for two, Singapore for six and Shanghai for about a year and a half. I love challenges and trying new things. I so excited about being in Xizhou.
