Day 13: Biking Around Town

Today during WIPPI time, I think I was extremely productive. Nike and I left YZR at 1:30, we biked to an elementary school first, then to Lake ErHai, then to SJF (the square), then back home to YZR. When we got back, my butt was very sore from biking for so long.

At the elementary school, we talked to Mrs. Yang and she let us ask her 5th grade class some questions. They were very cooperative and cute. I was amazed at their uniformity when they answered our questions, I would ask something, then after 2 or 3 seconds, all of them would respond "NO." or "YES." all together loud and clear. They were all very cooperative, except for some boys, they were a bit shy. I learnt a lot about the children here, what they learn, where they play, etc. It was very interesting.

After the visit to the school, we went to ErHai. ErHai was really beautiful, we rode to the tounge of the lake. Over there we jogged a little and jumped around to keep our heart rate above 150. Then a group of tourists on bikes came and waved at us. They started asking us questions, then asked to take pictures with us. So we did, it was kind of weird but flattering too. :D On our way back, we saw the government official guy Mr. Dong or Duan (sorry I forgot which one). He invited us to go to his house again, but we kindly rejected because we had to go back to YZR. Perhaps next time! :)

As we headed back from ErHai, we stopped by SJF, brought some snacks and attempted to look for Dr. Zhao. Still no luck. The people here keeps on saying that all the TCM doctors all left or died. They really are no help. I am currently waiting on Ryan's email to perhaps lead me to a direction of where this mysterious Dr. Zhao is.
