Day 12: Missing the pool

Today again was the same schedule as before, though one thing is different. I realized how much I miss swimming. Laura and I biked to Lake Er Hai for wellness. We sat for a while near the water and started to talk about swimming in this lake. It would be nice to swim in this lake since it was clear and the place was beautiful. That is when it hit me. I miss swimming and the pool. A big part of me wanted to jump into the water and start swimming. Later on, we walked down to a very shallow area with water and stepped into the water. Our feet didn't get wet because we were wearing hiking boots. It felt so good to feel the water once again. I played with the water for a while thinking about swimming as I did. Maybe I  miss home and what I do back in Shanghai more than I realize because we are always so busy here. Once I stop and take a moment to think, I realize how much I miss life in Shanghai. I still enjoy life here but that doesn't mean I don't miss home.

My name is Annie Y. I am part of the Superior Microcampus group. As of March 4, 2017, I arrived in Xizhou. We stayed in Xizhou for 28 days. Those 28 days has been such a unforgettable experience. I got to connect with the people here. They were very nice and welcoming. The weather was really nice. There was pretty blue skies and puffy white clouds. I miss everything about Xizhou and the Microcampus experience.
