Day 11: Inquiry Project and The Walk with T and Alex

Today was an intense day of working on my inquiry project. I think I sat in the courtyard chair for 3 hours or so, just working hard on Phase 3. If you have any time, please feel free to check it out, it may be rather long though.

Well, today nothing much other than working hard happened. It's pretty chill. The weather here is getting better again. Oh yes, I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed by the amount of homework we have here. I recently found out that the SS foreign policy is due in a few days and I need to start it, Sujin just reminded me that we have a camping outing (yay) to HuaLianBa which will take 3 days, so that means we have to finish the policy paper in 2 days... Then there's chinese homework which is to write two 200 word-ed essays about our life here. The amount of homework we have to do is kind of hitting me now..It's a bit overwhelming.

Today during WIPPI time, T, Alex and I went for a walk. He brought us around XIzhou (especially SFJ "the square") to learn and explore more about our inquiry project. We first went and watch some men play majong, then we went to Mr. Yang's Golden Flower restaurant and asked him if he knew where to find Dr. Zhao. Soon after his response, we embarked on our journey to find this Dr. Zhao. We walked by a bakery/candy store and brought this yummy sticky rice walnut sugar thing. Then walked back because the shop keepers told us there was no Dr. Zhao that practices TCM here. So we decided to look for Alex's Elderly Retirement Activity Centre place. Then we came across this group and this lady gave Mr. T her number, I'm not sure why though.. After, we went on a tuktuk (three wheeled car/motorcycle) and went to the Linden Centre to grab our extra toys.
