Day 11 : Faults and Joys of Working together

Today was the first day I did laundry due to the past week’s illness. I fabric sorted my clothes and left them in the washing machine. Since the weather and air in Xizhou, Yunnan is very dry, the clothes dry very quickly. The dry weather cause my hands to crack and my skin to itch but it is all good because I have lotion.

Since today was a regular Microcampus day, I have nothing to really talk about but some of the faults working together. It is hard for me to live with so many people since I have no siblings at home and am used to living with just me and my parents. Here, in Microcampus, I have a roommate and 9 other students that I will be seeing every day for a month. Many people (some of my friends and family) have told me that I will be sick of them soon and will have to find a way so cooperate so things don’t turn out bad. I have taken my advice smartly and created an idea for me to get to know others more and creating a schedule for me and my roommate that will benefit the both of us. I also really like it here because I am never alone and I get to know each others' strength and weaknesses. It is mandatory here to have at least 9 hours of sleep so we don’t get sick.

I look forward bonding with everyone else and getting to know the village and my community better!

Hey guys! My name is Hayley and I am now an alumni of the 21-st Ultimate Group. I enjoy playing volleyball, making Youtube Videos and cooking in my free time. My journey at Microcampus has been amazing and through the up's and down's, I learned so much about my inquiry project, the village, the citizens and most of all, myself. I will never forget my home away from home, Xizhou with its delicious food, blue skies, stars and kind locals. 喜州,我想你!
