Day 7: The Puzzle of the Past

"The past is like a puzzle, like a broken mirror. As you piece it together, your image keeps shifting. And you change with it. It could change with it. It could destroy you, drive you mad. It could set you free" - Max Payne

Though I have spent the majority of my life in China, I don't really know a lot about the history of China apart from shallow family discussions and topics we study during classes in school. During the "150 years in 150 minutes", I learned about new topics but also was reminded of family stories. Since my family is from Taiwan, it was cool to learn about the political system and origin of my country.

With the help of this lesson, I was able to find more pieces and put the puzzle together.

I'm 13 years old and my favorite hobbies are to bake and do crafts. I am originally from Taiwan, however, I have only lived in Taiwan for a year. This is my 8th year at Shanghai American school. I am very excited to go on Microcampus and learn outside of the Shanghai bubble. I can't wait to learn more about the village of Xizhou and the culture of their people.
