Day 4: Leaping into Xizhou

The first few days of Microcampus are officially over, we now know everything we need to know about our schedule, SAS essentials, and what and what not to do in Yang Zhouran. Today Sunny Q, Shirley X, Josephine C, and I went exploring on our bikes. We rode to Lake Er Hai and took a few minutes taking photos, we then explored around lake Er Hai going down different ally ways and streets. We ended up at a part of Lake Er Hai where the water was completely still, and the mountains and trees reflected perfectly on water. Biking home we went past villages and fields of canola and we said hello to lots of people.

Wow! Seems like the lake was very beautiful:) I wonder how the villages looked like there? How were the people there? To be honest, I feel very proud of all you guys representing our school. I hope you have a nice day. Looking forward to your journals:)

Look at the sky... so blue and clear -- It reminds me of Beech Mountain! I know it's beautiful there and look forward to talking to you every night to hear about your daily adventures. I'm glad that you're getting to explore the area on both bike and foot. Keep soaking in your surroundings... Love you!

Hi! My name is Sarah, I am 14 years old. This is my 11th year at SAS Puxi. I love playing sports, being outside, hanging out with friends, and reading. Microcampus has been an incredible life-changing experience that I will forever remember. I have met so many people in Xizhou who have impacted me greatly. I am so thankful that I got the opportunity to come to Xizhou for 28 days to experience China outside of the "bubble." Microcampus has taught me more than I could have ever imagined and I will forever remember this experience.
