Day 3: Biking Outside the Village

Today, we had a bike ride and we traveled all the way outside the village.  The roads had lots of obsticles like moving, stopping cars, gravel, bubby road, motorcycle and more, but when we stopped focusing as much on urselves, that is when we truely see the beauty of the landscape.  I certainly cannot believe how beautiful the view is. There are beautiful mountains in the landscape with green paddy and most important the weather is amazing. The weather had swirly white clouds floating peacefully in the air with blue bright sky and some sunrays shinning down. For a girl who lived all my life in Shanghai, this weather is amazing.(The image shows a example of Xizhou's weather.) We also took some time to have our pitching in. The view is breath taking but the whole trip was very tough for me. This could have been because of the height of the bike and how rare I biked in Shanghai.  I also experienced new biking technique like riding straight forward when the road is rough like the road is filled with rocks. I also learned how to communicate better as a team as we were communicating to ensure the saftey of the whole group. Last of all we did the flying V. I am definetly going to cycle again in Xizhou.

Wow Nicole! I also want to go

Wow Nicole! I also want to go to Xizhou with you! Breathing the fresh air and biking around the village are so attactive and interesting!! But, I like the most is seeing you growing and learning different things everyday. Really looking forward to getting know what will be happened to you tomorrow :-)

Hi! My name is Nicole and I am in the Superior Group. I am from Hong Kong and I came to SAS in second grade. I am so glad that I have attended Microcampus and living in Xizhou is a bliss to experience. The beauty of the Xizhou will never dissolve away in my mind where there are mountain peaks of ice and green garlic fields flowing through the grass land. I miss this experience so much and I hope the future microcampers will feel this experience as special as I did.
