Day 22: Emerging Unscathed

Day 22 of Microcampus was, for the lack of a better word, a big day. It was essentially our last significant timeframe to work on what is left of our final product and reflection before establishing final touches on the next day. I have cleared out some video footage and some media for making my final product, which is a short movie following my journey through the 28-day duration of my trip in Xizhou in terms of my inquiry project. I wanted to incorporate all of my effort into the final product; I did not just want a photo montage with Ken Burns and generic transitions, but instead I wanted to make content from this trip that I will look back on and be proud of for the years to come.

Naturally, today was hectic, not unlike yesterday, or the day before; however, the last few days of the entire trip would naturally be relatively chaotic. I have mentioned this in my reflection, which could be accessed in the final phase, but everything is as bad as we make it out to be. If we power through the last few days, we would all emerge out of this generally unscathed.

Hi! My name is Angela and I am a student from Shanghai American School. I was a part of the Superior Microcampus group, and staying at Xizhou for the all of March in 2017 was something I will never forget. It was one of the most difficult, frustrating, uncomfortable, and unforgettable opportunities I will ever have the honor of experiencing. I had learned so much values and knowledge over the course of those 28 days, and these lessons are what I will be carrying with me for the years to come.
